Inter-Club Tennis

Inter-Club is team tennis competitionĀ amongĀ  12 or more tennis clubs in Calgary.Ā  Competition usually begins around the end of May.Ā  There is a match once per week, usually with 3 men and 3 women per team, each person playing 2 sets in singles, doubles, or mixed doubles.Ā  Each team member can expect to play about 4-6 times per season, depending on the number of team members and availability. An informal social traditionally follows each competition.

Rosedale Tennis Club typically enters both the 3.0 and a 4.0 teams. In past years, the 3.0 team plays on Tuesdays and the 4.0 team on Wednesdays evenings beginning at 6pm on a home and away schedule.

The rosters are limited for both teams, therefore the Inter-club Directors (team captains) will assess the skill level of all interested participants and make decisions on team make-up. Ā Fees to cover team entry fees and hosting of socials is $85 per regular player, no charge for subs. If you are unsure of your level, you can do a self-assessment using theĀ Play Tennis Self-Rating GuideĀ on the Tennis Alberta website.

Inter-Club is a great way to get to know your fellow Rosedale tennis players, as well as players from other city clubs. It is competitive, but the emphasis is on fun. The teams are usually organized by mid-May, so donā€™t delay in making inquiries. Ā If you have any questions please contact the appropriateĀ Inter-Club Director.
